Senior Technical Sales Engineer (Agrochemical)

The Technical Sales Senior plays a key role in driving the growth of the company’s aquaculture business by developing strategic customer relationships, commercializing technical solutions, expanding market presence, and delivering sustainable revenue growth. This role combines technical expertise and business development capabilities, with a strong focus on building a long-term strategic business segment rather than purely sales execution.

Job Responsibilities 

Customer Development & Market Expansion: 

  • Build and manage a target customer portfolio while identifying strategic accounts
  • Develop and implement account development plans for key customers
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the aquaculture industry
  • Manage sales opportunities and project pipelines to achieve business targets
  • Expand and strengthen relationships with customers and industry partners
  • Drive sales activities to achieve revenue and profitability objectives. 

Technical Support & Solution Deployment: 

  • Assess customer needs and technical challenges to recommend suitable solutions
  • Coordinate with suppliers and relevant stakeholders to conduct product trials, pilot programs, and field evaluations
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of product testing activities
  • Support the commercialization process from product validation to commercial adoption
  • Assist customers in applying solutions and optimizing operational performance
  • Act as the key liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams .

Market Analysis & Growth Strategy: 

  • Collect and analyze market data, competitor activities, and industry trends
  • Monitor regulatory requirements related to product registration and commercialization
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and innovative solutions in the aquaculture sector
  • Recommend market expansion initiatives and product portfolio development strategies
  • Prepare market intelligence reports to support business decisions. 

Key Account Management: 

  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with strategic customers
  • Collaborate with internal departments to enhance customer satisfaction and experience
  • Drive revenue growth from key accounts
  • Resolve issues and support customers throughout the partnership lifecycle. 

Performance Reporting & Action Planning: 

  • Prepare periodic business performance reports as required
  • Maintain and update sales pipelines, project progress, and action plans
  • Provide market, customer, and competitor insights to management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Plant Protection, Crop Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Agrochemical, Fertilizer, or Agricultural Input industries.
  • Experience in Technical Sales, Technical Support, Agronomy, Market Development, or Application-related positions.
  • Experience in B2B commercial activities and product commercialization projects is a strong advantage.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in field evaluations, pilot initiatives, or direct engagement with farms, manufacturing facilities, or production companies.
  • Solid understanding of the agricultural market and production input solutions.
  • Strong capability in market assessment, customer acquisition, and business planning.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Good English communication skills with the ability to work with international partners.
  • Results-oriented mindset, proactive working approach, and willingness to travel frequently.
