Production Supervisor

Summary

Our strategic partner is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead shift-based shop-floor operations and frontline production teams. The role is responsible for achieving output, quality, safety, and efficiency targets while maintaining production discipline, monitoring operating performance, coordinating issue resolution, and ensuring smooth shift execution.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise shift-based production operations and manage approximately 20 to 50 employees, including Line Leaders and Operators.
• Ensure each shift achieves required output, quality, safety, and operating-efficiency targets.
• Monitor production performance indicators such as output, downtime, scrap rate, and productivity, and take timely action when performance deviates from plan.
• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures, 5S, workplace-safety requirements, and production discipline on the shop floor.
• Coordinate closely with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and HSE teams to resolve operational issues and maintain stable production flow.
• Lead frontline problem solving, shift handover, and team coordination to support consistent execution and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

• College or vocational qualification in Mechanical, Industrial, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline; a bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
• At least four years of manufacturing experience, including a minimum of one to two years in a Supervisor or Senior Line Leader role.
• Proven experience managing approximately 20 to 50 Operators in a shift-based manufacturing environment.
• Experience in continuous manufacturing is preferred, particularly in plastics, polymers, extrusion, textiles, synthetic fibers, or related industrial production.
• Strong people-management and frontline-leadership capability, with a hands-on approach to shop-floor operations and incident resolution.
• Good understanding of line operations, production troubleshooting, safety, 5S, SOP compliance, and shift-performance management.
• Basic English for reading SOPs and production data; stronger technical English is an advantage.
• Basic working knowledge of SAP HANA Production and Microsoft Office; exposure to Power BI or MES is an advantage.
