Summary
Our strategic partner is seeking an MEP Engineer to coordinate technical requirements, tendering, contractor activities, and equipment delivery, installation, testing, and acceptance for project MEP systems. This is a newly created position reporting directly to the Project Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare technical requirements for auxiliary equipment, electrical equipment, and measuring instruments (MEP) according to project needs.
- Prepare tender packages, invite bids, consolidate submissions, conduct preliminary contractor assessments, and recommend contractors to the Project Department or Procurement Department for the next stage.
- Consolidate and monitor schedules for the delivery, installation, testing, and acceptance of assigned equipment.
- Coordinate and work with contractors on project implementation.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or an equivalent discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in projects, electrical engineering, electrical control, or automation.
- Candidates from manufacturing or construction project environments may be considered if they have relevant experience in MEP, electrical, and automation systems.
- Experience preparing technical requirements for electrical equipment, auxiliary equipment, and measuring instruments is desired.
- Experience participating in tendering, contractor evaluation, and contractor selection is desired.
- Experience monitoring equipment delivery, installation, testing, and acceptance is desired.
- Experience managing or supervising contractors is well suited to the role.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and use electrical design software.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Project is an advantage, not a mandatory requirement.
- Conversational English sufficient to work with foreign partners or specialists.
- Ability to research independently and work autonomously.
- Availability for business travel according to project needs, including distant locations and extended assignments.
