Planning Executive

Our strategic partner specializes in supplying ingredients, additives, and related commodities for various manufacturing industries. The business is currently expanding its operations in Vietnam and is seeking multiple new positions to support its growth strategy and business expansion in the next development phase.

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Summary

Our strategic partner is seeking a Planning Executive to analyze sales data, market demand, and related factors to forecast demand and develop purchasing, sales, logistics, and inventory plans in line with company policy. This is a newly created position reporting directly to the Planning Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze sales data, market demand, and related factors to produce demand forecasts.
  • Develop purchasing plans covering sources of supply, quantities, purchasing timing, and relevant terms, taking account of market trends, consumption history, and safety stock.
  • Prepare sales plans covering sales targets and pricing strategies.
  • Develop detailed, clear logistics and inventory management plans aligned with company business objectives and inventory policies.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Sales, Warehousing and Logistics, and Finance to implement plans.
  • Track implementation progress to ensure adherence to established procedures and timelines.
  • Manage and coordinate planning activities and resolve issues arising during implementation.
  • Monitor planning KPIs, measure performance against initial targets, and analyze and assess variances.
  • Recommend improvements to optimize planning and supply chain performance.
  • Complete other tasks requested by management.
  • Prepare reports and monitor periodic order plans with strategic suppliers.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Planning, or a related discipline.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a comparable Planning or Supply Chain role is preferred.
  • Candidates from Manufacturing, FMCG, Trading, Retail, or other industries with comparable planning activities are welcome.
  • Experience tracking planning KPIs, analyzing variances, and recommending supply chain or planning improvements.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, functions, and charts; effective use of PivotTable, data analysis functions, and VBA is preferred.
  • Ability to read English documents and emails and communicate in English at a basic level.
  • Ability to work under high pressure.
