Civil Engineer

Our strategic partner specializes in supplying ingredients, additives, and related commodities for various manufacturing industries. The business is currently expanding its operations in Vietnam and is seeking multiple new positions to support its growth strategy and business expansion in the next development phase.

Location: Hanoi, Vietnam

Summary

Our strategic partner is seeking a Civil Engineer to manage technical construction activities for industrial factory and logistics warehouse projects, from tender preparation through construction. This is a newly created position reporting directly to the Project Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare construction technical requirements to meet the needs of each project.
• Prepare tender packages, invite bids, consolidate submissions, conduct preliminary contractor assessments, and recommend contractors to the Project Department for the next stage.
• Supervise construction technical work, including approval of shop drawings and construction methods.
• Manage contractor construction schedules.
• Coordinate construction activities among contractors.
• Manage quality and legal documentation.
• Manage construction quantities.
• Carry out other duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Industrial Construction.
• At least 5 years of experience in construction.
• Experience in industrial factory construction is required, together with an understanding of project delivery from tendering through construction.
• Experience preparing technical requirements and tender documents is preferred.
• Experience evaluating and working with contractors is preferred.
• Experience in technical construction supervision and managing schedules, quality, and construction quantities is preferred.
• Ability to read construction drawings and approve shop drawings, construction methods, and material submissions.
• Sound knowledge of construction codes and standards, including fire prevention and firefighting requirements.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Project is an advantage; no specific technical software is mandatory.
• Conversational English sufficient to communicate with foreign partners and contractors.
• Ability to research independently and work autonomously.
• Availability for frequent business travel.
