Summary
Our strategic partner is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage sourcing, supplier relationships, purchasing agreements, and order execution. The role ensures timely supply, regulatory and safety compliance, and cost-efficient procurement to support uninterrupted production.
Job Responsibilities
- Source and procure raw and auxiliary materials for production, chemicals for business and laboratory use, packaging materials, production machinery and equipment, spare parts, consumables, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supplies, logistics services, and other professional services.
- Research and analyze material and service markets to improve procurement strategies, control costs, and enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Assess, select, and develop suppliers based on quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance, and maintain supplier relationships to secure suitable sourcing options.
- Negotiate purchasing agreements, prices, and contractual terms to achieve cost-effective procurement.
- Create purchase orders against approved purchase requests, monitor order execution, and coordinate internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Coordinate timely deliveries to maintain uninterrupted production.
- Ensure purchased items comply with environmental, safety, industry, and legal requirements to minimize procurement risks.
Job Requirements
- Purchasing or procurement experience: 1–2 years for Junior or 2–4 years for Mid-Level, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience purchasing raw materials, chemicals, packaging, MRO supplies, and machinery.
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers.
- Strong negotiation skills covering prices, contracts, and purchasing terms.
- Ability to analyze markets, control procurement costs, and identify cost optimization opportunities.
- In-depth understanding of the required items, particularly their chemical properties and applicable regulations.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, contractual provisions of the Vietnamese Civil Code, and local tax laws.
- Understanding of supply markets, particularly the chemicals market in Vietnam.
- Proficiency in supply chain management systems.
- Analytical skills to assess supplier performance and market trends.
- Communication skills to coordinate internal teams and external suppliers, maintain compliance, and improve procurement strategies.
- High integrity and strong self-discipline.
- Proficiency in office software and ERP systems.
- Basic communication skills in English or Chinese for Junior; good command of either language for Mid-Level.
