Accountant Assistant

Our strategic partner is a trusted brand from Europe, renowned for providing labeling and hangtag solutions to the textile/apparel industry. Due to continuous growth and expanding business operations in Vietnam, our partner is establishing a new factory in Vietnam.

Summary

Our strategic partner is seeking an Accounting Assistant to handle daily accounting tasks, financial reporting, and compliance within a manufacturing environment. This role also supports internal management and external audit requirements when needed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting activities, covering accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger updates, and bank reconciliation tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting regulations and tax obligations.
  • Support the preparation of statutory financial reports and work closely with external auditors throughout the audit process.
  • Perform periodic financial reviews to assess trends, explain variances, and identify areas for operational or financial improvement.
  • Translate financial findings into practical recommendations for decision-making.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is strongly preferred.
  • At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally gained in a multinational manufacturing business or professional accounting services firm.
  • Solid understanding of Vietnamese accounting practices and tax requirements, including transfer pricing, Corporate Income Tax, Foreign Contractor Tax, and Withholding Tax.
  • Hands-on experience managing intercompany transactions and the associated compliance matters.
  • Practical exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
  • Skilled in working with ERP systems, with NAV or comparable system experience considered essential, and proficient in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel.
  • Fluent in Vietnamese and English, with strong capability in both written and verbal communication.
  • High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail, and well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work independently as well as cooperate effectively in a team setting.
