HSE & CSR Officer

Summary

Our partner is seeking an HSE & CSR Officer to support operations in Vietnam. This role is responsible for implementing and monitoring Health, Safety, and Environmental practices across facilities, driving Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives with farmer cooperatives and local communities, and supporting Environmental, Social, and Governance programs in alignment with the company’s sustainability goals.

Job Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):

  • Ensure all facilities comply with Vietnam’s HSE regulations, applicable industry standards, and internal HSE policies.
  • Carry out risk assessments, safety audits, site inspections, and incident investigation activities at operational locations.
  • Plan and conduct safety training sessions and awareness activities for site employees and contractors.
  • Maintain HSE records and prepare reports on performance indicators, including near misses, incidents, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate emergency response exercises and ensure safety equipment remains properly maintained and compliant.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):

  • Serve as the coordination point between the company, farmer cooperatives, and local communities.
  • Develop and execute community development programs in line with the company’s CSR direction.
  • Support agricultural extension activities, training programs, and livelihood enhancement initiatives.
  • Track and assess CSR project results to ensure alignment with SDGs and company commitments.

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG):

  • Support the collection, analysis, and reporting of ESG data for Vietnam operations.
  • Assist with the implementation of ESG frameworks, including stakeholder engagement and materiality assessment activities.
  • Contribute to environmental monitoring activities covering waste, emissions, water usage, and related areas, as well as social impact assessments.
  • Support sustainability audits, third-party assessments, and customer-related sustainability requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, mandatory under Vietnamese regulations for HSE positions.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in HSE, CSR, or ESG functions.
  • Experience working with rural communities, farmer cooperatives, or development programs is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Vietnam’s HSE regulations, CSR best practices, and sustainability reporting requirements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capability in both Vietnamese and English.
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with digital tools used for data tracking and reporting.
  • Proactive and practical working approach.
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity with a community engagement mindset.
  • Strong interest in sustainability and social impact.
