Production Director

Our strategic partner is a leading Vietnam-based manufacturer serving both domestic and international markets across the marine, aquaculture, agriculture, and industrial sectors. We are seeking a highly capable Production Director to lead manufacturing operations across 04 production plants, ensuring the achievement of targets in production output, quality, cost efficiency, delivery performance, and workplace safety across key strategic product lines.

Job Responsibilities

Manufacturing Operations

• Lead and optimize manufacturing performance across four production plants.
• Monitor and drive key operational KPIs, including OEE, FPY, production attainment, cost per tonne, and safety performance.
• Conduct regular operational reviews and implement corrective actions to address performance gaps.
• Optimize production capacity and resource allocation across plants and product lines.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, coach, and develop Production Managers and manufacturing leadership teams.
• Drive performance management, succession planning, and organizational capability development.
• Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and operational alignment across departments.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with quality standards, manufacturing procedures, and HSE requirements.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for major production and quality issues.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with ISO standards and workplace safety regulations.

Production Planning & Cost Management

• Partner with Planning and Supply Chain teams to ensure effective production scheduling and on-time delivery performance.
• Monitor manufacturing costs and drive productivity improvement and cost optimization initiatives.
• Support budgeting and operational financial performance management.

Continuous Improvement

• Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and operational excellence initiatives across all plants.
• Drive manufacturing digitalization and process improvement programs, including ERP, MES, and SAP systems, as well as operational performance dashboards.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field.
• MBA or Master’s Degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in a senior production leadership role. Proven experience managing multi-site manufacturing operations.
• Strong background in polymer, extrusion, and continuous manufacturing industries is highly preferred.
• Experience working with export manufacturing standards and participating in international customer audits is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, production systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, and operational performance management tools.
• Native Vietnamese with professional English communication skills.
• Hands-on leadership style with strong operational discipline.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• High integrity, resilience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, people management, and team development skills.
