Procurement Director

Our strategic partner specializes in supplying ingredients for the personal care and home care sectors. The business is currently expanding its operations in Vietnam and is seeking multiple new positions to support its growth strategy and business expansion in the next development phase.

Summary

Our Partner is seeking a Procurement Director responsible for leading strategic sourcing and procurement operations within the B2B trading industry. This position is responsible for developing supplier networks, managing global sourcing activities, optimizing procurement costs, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations while supporting the company’s business growth and profitability objectives.

Job Responsibilities 

Strategic Sourcing & Commercial Management: 

• Develop and manage a strategic supplier network for food ingredients, additives, and related commodities within the B2B trading business model.
• Source, evaluate, and establish partnerships with both domestic and international manufacturers to achieve competitive total supply costs.
• Monitor global commodity market trends and pricing fluctuations to support procurement planning and purchasing decisions.
• Identify and engage reliable suppliers across Vietnam and international markets including Europe, the USA, India, and China for sourcing food ingredients and additives.
• Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable payment conditions, and exclusive distribution agreements.

Operational Purchasing & Supply Chain Management: 

• Manage the full Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle while coordinating closely with Logistics and Supply Chain teams to improve inventory efficiency.
• Control safety stock levels to maintain high order fulfillment performance while optimizing working capital and cash flow.
• Track international market pricing for commodities such as sugar, dairy products, and chemicals to determine suitable purchasing and stock planning strategies.
• Collaborate with Warehouse and Logistics teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing excess stock and operational waste.
• Oversee procurement budgets, monitor cost performance, and prepare profit margin reports for the Board of Directors.

Job Requirements 

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Procurement or Sourcing, including at least 3-5 years in a senior management position.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Foreign Trade, Supply Chain Management, or related disciplines.
• Strong preference for candidates with direct experience in B2B Trading, Food Ingredients, or FMCG industries.
• Demonstrated expertise in advanced negotiation with a proven ability to secure high-value international agreements.
• Strong financial management capabilities with solid knowledge of P&L management, landed cost structures, and trade finance.
• Strong risk management skills with the ability to respond effectively to global supply chain disruptions and foreign exchange risks.
• Professional English communication skills with experience working directly with international suppliers.
