Deputy Accounting Manager

Summary

Our Partner is seeking a Deputy Accounting Manager responsible for financial reporting, product costing, and payment control to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely accounting operations.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Prepare, consolidate, and present periodic financial reports to ensure transparent, accurate, and compliant financial recording and reporting in accordance with legal regulations and internal corporate policies.
  • Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in the required reporting formats.
  • Prepare financial reports in compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS).
  • Prepare group reporting packages in accordance with international financial reporting requirements of the corporation.
  • Prepare additional internal reports as assigned.
  • Train and manage accounting staff.
  • Oversee accounting entries and operations.
  • Prepare general ledgers for audits and inspections by tax and customs authorities, etc.
  • Ensure proper document filing and record-keeping.
  • Advise on matters related to tax policies/regulations.
  • Participate in inventory and asset counts upon request.
  • Manage and execute product costing activities to ensure accurate cost allocation, expense monitoring, and compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, corporate policies.
  • Review and reconcile inventory balances for raw materials and finished goods.
  • Verify inventory reports related to raw materials and finished products.
  • Reconcile production data recorded in the system against reports issued by the production department.
  • Monitor and communicate with related departments regarding slow-moving and long-aged inventory items with material value.
  • Support and guide related departments in resolving inventory-related issues arising at the branch level.
  • Analyze fluctuations in product costing and coordinate directly with production teams to identify monthly cost changes, ensuring costing accuracy and effective cost management.
  • Review expenses related to provisional costing, inventory receipt transactions, and material purchasing activities.
  • Coordinate with the ERP support team to create new product codes and establish cost allocation principles for new production lines or manufacturing processes.
  • Review supplier payment documentation to ensure compliance with internal procedures and timely payment processing.
  • Coordinate and oversee daily accounting operations within the authorized scope.
  • Provide coaching and supervision to accounting staff members.
  • Control accounting entries and bookkeeping activities.
  • Maintain consolidated accounting records to support audits and inspections by tax and customs authorities.
  • Monitor and ensure proper filing and documentation retention.
  • Provide guidance regarding tax-related matters and policies.
  • Participate in inventory counts and fixed asset verification activities when required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 05 years of experience in accounting operations management, with at least 02 years of team supervision experience.
  • Proficient in preparing financial statements in accordance with VAS, with a solid understanding of Group reporting / IFRS logic.
  • Proven experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment. Deep understanding of BOM, cost allocation, standard costing (norms), WIP, finished goods, raw materials, inventory movements.
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations, payment documentation, voucher control. Ability to maintain proper filing systems to support tax, customs, external audits.
  • Strong experience in using ERP, SAP system.
  • Strong organizational and resource optimization capabilities.
  • Ability to resolve issues effectively under high-pressure environments.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and willingness to learn.
  • Detail-oriented, careful, and highly trustworthy.
