Job Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between assigned suppliers and the Corporate Quality Assurance team based in the United States
- Oversee and monitor suppliers’ Quality Management Systems through regular audits, with emphasis on compliance with policies, procedures, and quality control standards
- Coordinate and manage all non-conformance issues in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and suppliers
- Lead and work closely with supplier representatives to resolve quality-related concerns including complaints, rejections, and audit findings, ensuring timely execution of corrective actions such as CAPA and SCAR while supporting supplier quality improvement initiatives
- Track supplier capacity and monitor procurement volume from each supplier
- Collaborate with the broader quality team to develop and maintain supplier evaluation ratings, and implement improvement plans for assigned suppliers when required
- Identify and execute opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of supplier quality engineering and management processes
- Optimize product inspection standards following LEAN principles to ensure effective and efficient quality control
- Facilitate knowledge transfer when suppliers are approved for mass production, including ensuring documentation handover from development to production, conducting pre-production meetings to align inspection standards, and providing training to supplier teams including QA/QC and production personnel
- Identify potential quality risks during daily operations and provide timely recommendations to the supervisor
- Conduct final inspections for products at vendor sites located in North and South Vietnam as well as across Southeast Asia according to plan
- Prepare and submit periodic reports to the supervisor and relevant stakeholders as required.
- Support suppliers in understanding company requirements to enhance product and production quality, helping them meet expected quality standards.
Job Requirements
- Proficient in both spoken and written English
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supplier quality management with strong knowledge of continuous improvement; experience in the food packaging industry is advantageous
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards; knowledge or certification in ISO 22000, HACCP, FDA 21 CFR, or BRCGS is an advantage
- Experience with quality tools such as 5WHY, Fishbone analysis, and SOP; exposure to Lean and Six Sigma projects is beneficial
- Experience in supplier quality engineering, complaint handling, CAPA processes, and supplier performance evaluation
- Strong product understanding and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel for business purposes.
