Merchandiser Team Leader

Our strategic partner is a leading multinational company in the textile and apparel manufacturing industry.

Location: Ben Tre, Vietnam

Job Responsibilities

Production Planning and Coordination:

  • Analyze orders and production capacity to develop master and detailed plans for each production line.
  • Assign tasks to merchandising team members for each production stage.
  • Monitor actual production progress, promptly update and adjust plans to meet order requirements.
  • Propose improvements to the planning process to enhance production efficiency

Order Management:

  • Receive, check, evaluate, and monitor the status of orders by item code.
  • Ensure orders are executed according to the correct quality, quantity, and delivery schedule.
  • Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Technical, and QC departments to resolve issues arising during the production process.

Material Control:

  • Consolidate and control material requirements based on production plans and consumption standards.
  • Work with the Purchasing department to monitor raw material delivery schedules and control safety stock levels.
  • Propose solutions for handling material shortages, consumption standard discrepancies, or other unexpected issues.

Reporting & Data Management:

  • Consolidate and analyze production data: productivity, efficiency, production time, completion rates.
  • Report production progress, order status, and material efficiency to senior management.
  • Guide, train and evaluate the performance of the merchandising team.

Job Requirements

  • College Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Engineering, Industrial Management or related fields.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in production planning; prior team management experience is preferred.
  • Good understanding of production processes and material management (preferably in industries like garment, footwear, food, electronics, etc.).
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; knowledge of ERP software is a strong advantage.
  • Strong organizational, data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills in Chinese.
  • Strong communication, inter-departmental coordination skills and a high sense of responsibility.
