Job Responsibilities
- Developing and overseeing the implementation of the Quality Management System framework and associated procedures to ensure product integrity from initial inputs through to final product release, including defining best practice SOPs.
- Creating and maintaining the Food Safety Manual, ensuring it is updated yearly to reflect current operational needs.
- Making disposition decisions (approvement or rejection) for raw materials, packaging, in-process materials, and finished goods based on established specifications.
- Managing the process for handling deviations and addressing non-conforming results during production.
- Serving as a key contact for stakeholders regarding quality matters, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
- Directing routine internal quality audits and formal Management Review meetings.
- Representing the company during external audits conducted by regulatory bodies or customers.
- Assessing and approving potential and existing suppliers based on quality criteria.
- Championing the maintenance and continuous improvement of the HACCP system according to company standards.
- Ensuring the facility operates safely, hygienically and efficiently, adhering to all corporate and governmental regulations.
- Overseeing the programs for equipment validation, calibration, and preventative maintenance.
- Facilitating process and production improvements, actively leading the continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with R&D, Production, Data Support, and Factory leadership.
- Partnering with other departments to effectively troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to quality, engineering, efficiency, training, safety, and workplace organization (e.g., 5S).
- Guaranteeing that all quality department staff receive necessary initial and ongoing training relevant to their roles.
- Designing and overseeing the company-wide ISO 22000/HACCP training schedule and monitoring its effectiveness and overall quality awareness.
- Establishing KPIs for the Quality Assurance team, regularly assessing operational performance against these metrics, and reporting findings to the Board of Directors.
Job Requirements
- Academic background with a Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Animal Health, Aquaculture, or a related fields is essential; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience within the Quality Assurance function in the Food, Feed, or Aquaculture sectors, with no less than 2 years in a managerial roles.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written communication in English and Vietnamese.
- In-depth expertise in Food Safety principles, HACCP methodologies, and ISO 22000 standards.
- Comprehensive understanding of quality regulations and policies specific to the Animal Feed and Aquaculture industries.
- Familiarity with relevant Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and exhibit a proactive approach.
- Solid experience working with ISO 22000 and HACCP systems.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
