Summary
Our strategic partner is seeking a Senior Bridge Software Engineer in Hiroshima to connect Japanese customers with engineering teams on AI and Data projects. The role leads requirement clarification and technical discussions, drives upstream development, proposes cloud and data solutions, and addresses technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities
- Connect Japanese customers and development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead technical discussions and clarify requirements with Japanese customers.
- Convert business needs into achievable technical requirements.
- Lead upstream work covering requirement analysis, basic or high-level design, and technical documentation.
- Recommend solutions involving AWS/cloud, data platforms, system architecture, and integration.
- Identify technical risks and proactively coordinate solutions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, Information Technology, or a related technical field, with a background in development, engineering, or IT support.
- Japanese proficiency at business level, equivalent to JLPT N2 or higher; a JLPT certificate is not required. Ability to communicate in English.
- Business-level or higher Vietnamese proficiency.
- At least 6 years in software/system engineering or Technical BrSE roles, including approximately 3–4 recent years as a BrSE, BSE, Bridge System Engineer, or Bridge Software Engineer.
- Upstream experience in requirement analysis or clarification, high-level/basic design, and technical documentation.
- Good understanding of cloud-based systems, data management/data platforms, and system architecture, with Java or .NET experience. Projects use AWS; Azure or GCP expertise is also acceptable.
- Ability to lead technical discussions independently with Japanese customers.
- Ability to work onsite in Hiroshima and commit to a long-term assignment in Japan.
- Experience in AI/data utilization or Energy/Utility systems is an advantage.
