Senior Bridge Software Engineer (Kyushu)

Summary

Our strategic partner is seeking a Senior Bridge Software Engineer in Kyushu to connect Japanese customers with offshore development teams on AI and Data projects. The role clarifies technical requirements, contributes across the Software Development Life Cycle, applies AI/GenAI to software development, and supports system migration and legacy modernization.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions and clarify requirements with Japanese customers.
• Communicate technical requirements between Japanese customers and offshore development teams.
• Contribute across the SDLC, including design, development, testing, and delivery.
• Use AI/GenAI to improve coding, testing, design, and SDLC processes.
• Support system migration and legacy modernization projects.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, Information Technology, or a related technical field, with a background in development, engineering, or IT support.
• Japanese proficiency at business level, equivalent to JLPT N2 or higher; a JLPT certificate is not required. Ability to communicate in English.
• Business-level or higher Vietnamese proficiency.
• At least 6 years in software development, system engineering, or Technical BrSE roles, including approximately 3–4 recent years as a BrSE, BSE, Bridge System Engineer, or Bridge Software Engineer.
• Strong software development experience and SDLC knowledge, with Java or .NET expertise. Projects use AWS; Azure or GCP expertise is also acceptable.
• Experience applying AI/GenAI to coding, testing, design, or AI-powered SDLC.
• Experience working with Japanese customers and offshore development teams.
• Ability to work onsite in Kyushu and commit to a long-term assignment in Japan.
• Experience in system migration or legacy modernization is preferred.
