Summary

Reporting to the HSE Supervisor, HSE Staff carry out workplace safety and environmental activities to identify hazards, prevent incidents, and support compliance with HSE regulations and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor shop-floor safety, check PPE compliance, and identify unsafe conditions and behaviours.
  • Conduct Toolbox Talks, promptly report near-misses, and support incident investigations and on-site LOTO/PTW implementation.
  • Perform assigned environmental and chemical safety activities, including hazardous waste, SDS/GHS, environmental monitoring, and occupational health support; or conduct 5S audits and fire safety checks.
  • Inspect firefighting equipment and participate in emergency drills, evacuation, and first-aid response.
  • Maintain HSE logbooks, checklists, and reports, update SAP HANA records, and prepare documentation for inspections and audits.
  • Maintain HSE monitoring equipment and promote 5S in the assigned area.
  • Attend HSE training, keep up with relevant regulations, and recommend practical safety improvements.

Job Requirements

  • Vocational diploma or college qualification in HSE, Occupational Safety, Environmental Studies, Chemistry, or Engineering. High school graduates with vocational HSE certification may also be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in manufacturing, preferably in FMCG, chemicals, textiles, or continuous manufacturing.
  • Experience in at least one area: occupational safety, environmental management, chemical management, hazardous waste, 5S, or fire prevention and firefighting.
  • Mandatory certifications in Occupational Safety and Health, fire prevention and firefighting, and first aid.
  • Practical capability in frontline safety, PPE monitoring, Toolbox Talks, near-miss reporting, and incident investigation support.
  • Sound knowledge of occupational safety, fire safety, and environmental regulations, with the ability to maintain HSE records, checklists, and reports.
  • Basic proficiency in SAP HANA’s EHS module and familiarity with SDS and relevant QCVN standards.
  • Native Vietnamese and basic English to read SDS, GHS labels, and record data.
