Summary
Reporting to the Head of AI & Automation, the Business Analyst connects factory operations with technical teams to define business needs, improve processes, and shape feasible solutions. The role covers discovery through go-live and post-implementation review, ensuring AI & Automation initiatives deliver measurable operational value and user adoption.
Job Responsibilities
- Gather and clarify business requirements with factory users across Production, QA/QC, Maintenance, Warehousing, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders.
- Map AS-IS and TO-BE processes using Process Maps/BPMN, identifying pain points, bottlenecks, control risks, and opportunities for digitalization, AI, and automation.
- Assess and prioritize use cases by business value, feasibility, data readiness, risk, and implementation effort; support business cases, KPIs, and benefit measurement.
- Translate requirements into BRD/FRD, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, data mappings, workflows, wireframes/prototypes, and business-level API integration documentation.
- Work with Solution Architects, Developers, Data/AI Engineers, and vendors to review requirements, clarify scope, manage dependencies, and resolve changes throughout delivery.
- Maintain requirement traceability and control scope, assumptions, constraints, issues, risks, and change requests; obtain agreement and approval before development.
- Develop business test scenarios and test cases, prepare test data, coordinate SIT/UAT, track defects, and verify acceptance criteria.
- Prepare user guides and training materials; support go-live, hypercare, and change management to encourage adoption at factories.
- Monitor post-implementation KPIs covering processing time, error rates, reduced manual work, compliance, adoption, and return on investment; recommend ongoing improvements.
- Standardize templates, documentation, and use-case libraries to support reuse and wider deployment across manufacturing and the organization.
- Support digital transformation and AI & Automation roadmaps and the development of an Automation Center of Excellence (CoE).
- Participate in workshops, awareness training, and guidance for key users.
Job Requirements
- 3–5 years of Business Analyst experience, with mandatory experience in Manufacturing/Factory environments and a sound understanding of production processes and factory operations.
- Experience working directly with factory users and connecting business needs with technical teams; exposure to ERP/MES/WMS/IoT is an advantage.
- Experience in digital transformation, enterprise software development, AI, RPA, automation, workflow automation, or Power Platform projects is preferred.
- Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive approach to business and technical collaboration.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall, including hands-on involvement from discovery and requirements analysis through UAT and go-live.
- Practical experience with Jira, Confluence, Draw.io/Visio, and Excel; ability to develop AS-IS/TO-BE processes, BPMN, user stories, BRD/FRD, wireframes, system flows, and data mappings, and manage requirements end to end.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, Postman, Swagger, Azure DevOps, or API-integrated enterprise systems is an advantage.
- Data-oriented thinking and an understanding of AI platforms and enterprise systems are preferred.
- Experience in Supply Chain, Warehousing, Logistics, QA/QC, or Maintenance is a strong advantage.
- ECBA/CCBA/CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile/Scrum, Lean Six Sigma, or Microsoft Power Platform certification is preferred.
