Procurement Manager

Our partner is global company that manages the supply chain for farm products and supplies with operation in 15 countries, offering a wide variety of agricultural goods.

Summary

Our strategic partner is seeking a Procurement Manager to develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies that ensure cost competitiveness, quality, timely delivery, and compliance with company policies. Reporting to the Profit Center Head, the role manages supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and purchasing operations while supporting business growth through effective procurement practices.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement:

  • Formulate and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve processes, and optimize suppliers.
  • Track commodity pricing, market trends, and supply risks to inform sourcing decisions.
  • Develop annual procurement budgets and plans.

Supplier Management:

  • Identify, assess, qualify, and onboard new suppliers.
  • Build long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers.
  • Regularly evaluate supplier performance against quality, delivery, service, and cost criteria.
  • Manage continuous improvement initiatives and supplier corrective action plans.

Sourcing & Contract Management:

  • Lead tendering, RFQ, and RFP processes.
  • Negotiate commercial contracts, pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and service levels.
  • Ensure supplier agreements meet company policies and local regulations.
  • Keep the contract database updated and track contract renewals.

Purchasing Operations:

  • Manage the purchase order process from requisition through delivery.
  • Ensure materials, equipment, and services are procured on time.
  • Work with planning, warehouse, finance, and operations teams to maintain inventory levels.
  • Proactively address supply disruptions and delivery issues.

Cost & Budget Management:

  • Achieve annual procurement savings targets.
  • Evaluate total cost of ownership (TCO) in sourcing decisions.
  • Track procurement spend and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Produce procurement reports and spend analyses for management.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, Quality, and Logistics teams.
  • Source qualified suppliers to support new product introductions.
  • Contribute to business planning and supply chain optimization initiatives.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure adherence to Vietnamese regulations, company procurement policies, and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Identify risks across the supply chain and prepare mitigation plans.
  • Keep procurement documentation accurate and ready for audits.

Team Leadership:

  • Coach, lead, and develop the procurement team.
  • Establish KPIs and track team performance.
  • Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or a related discipline.
  • 7–10 years of experience in sourcing or procurement.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years in a managerial position.
  • Candidates with experience in manufacturing, industrial, electronics, automotive, FMCG, retail, or multinational environments are preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract management and supplier negotiations.
