Senior Transportation Planner

Our strategic partner is a multinational professional services company headquartered in Europe, providing design, engineering, architecture, planning, and consulting services across various areas of the built environment. The organization is currently expanding its presence in Vietnam through transportation, urban development, and real estate projects, aiming for long-term and sustainable growth.

Summary 

Our strategic partner is seeking a Senior Transportation Planner based in Vietnam to lead transportation planning, traffic impact assessment, transport modelling, and infrastructure development projects while delivering effective mobility solutions.

Job Responsibilities 

• Participate in transportation and infrastructure projects, supporting technical analysis, preparing technical documentation, and independently managing assigned tasks for projects in Vietnam and regional markets when required.
• Carry out conceptual planning, evaluation, and design for transportation infrastructure projects including road systems, bus terminals, railway stations, and integrated master planning developments.
• Perform traffic impact assessments for new developments, including circulation planning and accessibility strategies.
• Coordinate and organize traffic studies and infrastructure-related surveys.
• Prepare and deliver project proposals and presentation materials to prospective clients while supporting proposal development activities in collaboration with internal teams.
• Communicate directly with clients and ensure quality review and quality assurance for deliverables prepared by local project members.
• Provide timely technical consultation and respond effectively to client requirements and project needs.
• Supervise project teams and ensure project delivery within agreed timelines and budgets, with coordination support from the Vietnam transportation team and technical guidance from regional colleagues.
• Attend meetings and coordinate with clients in Vietnam and other regional markets when required.

Job Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Planning, Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related disciplines.
• Postgraduate qualifications are considered advantageous.
• Possess a relevant professional certification or license in Vietnam.
• Minimum 6–10 years of experience in traffic impact assessment, temporary traffic planning, traffic engineering design, transportation planning, transport modelling, or public transportation operations for public authorities, transportation operators, and large-scale development projects.
• Candidates with more extensive experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Good understanding of transportation planning and traffic engineering practices within Vietnam.
• Strong analytical capability together with excellent report writing and presentation skills, including experience working directly with clients on projects and proposals.
• Experience in marketing activities and business development is considered an advantage.
• Confident, proactive, adaptable, and self-motivated personality with strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within the region when necessary.
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Vietnamese.
