Summary
Our strategic partner is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to manage the daily movement, storage, and control of materials and finished goods. Reporting to the Factory Director and supervising the warehouse team, this role is responsible for maintaining timely inbound and outbound operations, accurate inventory records, safe working practices, effective workforce deployment, and reliable weighbridge data.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise warehouse associates, overseeing all receiving, storage, distribution, and maintenance activities while ensuring safe equipment operation.
- Develop and implement warehouse practices and protocols to achieve operational efficiency in accordance with ISO 22000/HACCP standards.
- Monitor team performance and initiate training programs to enhance employee capabilities and productivity.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments to guarantee products are shipped according to schedule.
- Design warehouse layout and optimize space utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant warehousing, material handling, and shipping regulatory requirements.
- Uphold standards for health, safety, hygiene, and security across all warehouse operations.
- Oversee inventory control processes and ensure alignment with data management systems.
- Develop annual budgets, track expenditures, and maintain cost control for warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with the sales team to support business objectives and customer requirements.
- Plan work schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and evaluate performance outcomes.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and motivation of warehouse personnel.
- Generate regular operational reports and statistics, including inventory status and obsolete stock analyses.
- Collect feedback and assess the quality of services delivered to internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in and prepare for routine internal audits as well as third-party and customer audit sessions.
- Establish key performance indicators for the warehouse department, conduct systematic evaluations of overall operations, and present findings to senior leadership.
- Record and track the weight of incoming and outgoing vehicles and materials at the truck scale.
- Ensure precise and efficient weighing procedures at the weighbridge facility.
- Work closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and relevant parties to enable seamless operational flow.
- Liaise with data management and accounting teams to verify accuracy of documentation and reporting.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse supervisory role, with preference given to candidates from the food, feed, or aquaculture sectors.
- Comprehensive understanding of warehousing key performance indicators and metrics.
- Practical experience working with warehouse management software and database systems.
- Proven leadership capabilities and the ability to effectively manage and develop teams.
- Strong decision-making skills and problem-solving aptitude.
- Excellent communication abilities and proficiency in English.
