Senior Accounting & Tax Consultant

Summary

Our strategic partner is seeking a Senior Accounting & Tax Consultant to support accounting, tax review, and advisory engagements for domestic and international corporate clients. Working under Senior Manager/Director oversight, the role combines hands-on client delivery with team coordination, junior staff coaching, service improvement, and selected business development activities, while ensuring accurate and timely outputs aligned with Vietnamese regulations.

Job Responsibilities

• Support managers in delivering accounting engagements for domestic and international corporate clients, including the preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, tax reports, and other statutory filings.
• Contribute to tax review and tax advisory assignments by preparing and reviewing research papers, advisory reports, tax returns such as CIT, PIT, and VAT, and related supporting documentation.
• Participate in corporate advisory work, special review assignments, and other professional tasks allocated by the Head of Department.
• Address client inquiries promptly and recommend practical tax approaches that comply with applicable Vietnamese regulations.
• Communicate directly with tax authorities when required and assist managers during tax audits or investigations.
• Distribute work among team members, monitor execution, and maintain agreed standards for quality and delivery timelines.
• Provide day-to-day supervision, practical guidance, and coaching to junior colleagues to strengthen their professional development and performance.
• Take part in internal knowledge-sharing sessions and training activities to support continuous team capability building.
• Coordinate effectively with colleagues and related functions, including Audit and Outsourcing, to support smooth engagement delivery.
• Recommend improvements to service-delivery processes and internal workflows to enhance operating efficiency and client satisfaction.
• Assist with the preparation of training materials and technical articles, and contribute to new service development when requested.
• Maintain trusted relationships with assigned clients and support ongoing engagement opportunities through consistent service quality.
• Contribute to the development of new service offerings or other business development activities as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, Economics, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in tax, audit, or accounting; prior experience with a consulting firm is preferred.
• Good written and spoken English, with the ability to work confidently with technical documents and international clients.
• Strong professional interest and the capability to perform the responsibilities of the role effectively.
• Commitment to building a long-term career and developing together with the organization.
• Willingness to travel within Vietnam when business requirements arise.
