Purchasing Manager (Raw Materials)

Our strategic partner is a popular brand in the food and beverage manufacturing industry. The company has achieved significant success and has recently invested in production line technology and infrastructure. Due to continued growth and overall expansion, there are some strategic recruitment needs for the following positions to upgrade the organization and enhance people capability.

Location: Binh Duong, Vietnam

Summary

Our Partner seeks an accomplished Purchasing Manager with experience in the Food & Beverage industry. This position manages the end-to-end procurement of raw materials, MRO and Services, ensuring timely deliveries, supplier compliance, and adherence to internal purchasing protocols.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct the supplier selection process (tendering, negotiation, etc.) in line with the sourcing strategy provided by the sourcing department. Ensure the procurement of raw materials for the whole manufacturing process adheres to meet company procedures and regulations.
  • Finalize contracts, issue purchase orders (POs), track and manage delivery schedules. Guarantee the timely and accurate delivery of spare parts, equipment, and machinery to meet the company’s production needs while complying with internal procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to established procedures and regulations throughout the entire purchasing cycle, from receiving purchase request (PRs) to processing payments, ensuring both end-user and supplier satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Mechanical or related fields.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in procurement, with specific experience in purchasing raw materials in food and beverage industry. At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role. Proven experience in supplier selection processes, including tendering and negotiations related to raw materials and supplier development.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, particularly in the context of raw materials and machinery procurement.
  • Ability to analyze procurement data and reports to make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in office software and procurement management systems, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning).
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements relevant to raw materials procurement and supply chain management.
