Summary
Our Partner is seeking an R&D Executive specializing in Personal & Homecare Ingredients. This position is responsible for developing and testing formulations, providing technical support to the commercial team, and ensuring accurate and timely management of product samples and technical documentation within the personal and home care industry.
Job Responsibilities
Research & Formulation Development:
- Conduct research, analysis, and prototype formulation development based on customer requirements, market insights, and requests from the commercial team.
- Modify and adapt formulations provided by suppliers’ technical teams to align with the company’s product portfolio.
- Store, monitor, and assess the stability of raw materials and finished products in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
Technical Support:
- Assist the sales team with customer-facing initiatives, including assessing samples, showcasing products, and delivering technical presentations.
- Carry out necessary product testing and assessment procedures.
- Host internal training workshops to educate the commercial team on product specifications and technical capabilities.
- Draft, revise, and manage technical guides and product application manuals.
- Gather, organize, and share updated supplier documentation regarding products with the appropriate internal teams.
Sample & Forecast Management:
- Formulate and dispatch product samples to clients in alignment with established project timelines.
- Generate reports and supply forecasts regarding product consumption as needed.
Supplier & Project Coordination:
- Work alongside the supplier management division to attend vendor workshops and training, ensuring the collection of vital product details.
- Draft and present status updates for active research and development (R&D) and client-specific projects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, or a similar discipline.
- At least 2 years of lab-based experience, ideally within the personal care or home care sectors.
- Prior experience in multi-industry chemical trading or cosmetic chemical manufacturing is a strong plus.
- In-depth understanding of formulation methods, raw materials, stability assessments.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively back sales efforts and engage with clients.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and handling laboratory records and documentation.
- Capable of functioning both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and driven by a proactive approach to work.
