Summary
Our partner is seeking an accomplished Head of Planning with experience in the Food & Beverage Manufacturing industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the planning strategy within a renowned and large-scale food & beverage manufacturing company. The job holder will be responsible for ensuring that all supply planning is effective, and for developing mid- and long-term planning aligned with business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop short and mid-term planning strategies aligned with business objectives and overall strategy.
- Plan production schedules for finished products, raw materials, packaging, and Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) for factories based on sales demand forecasts, reviewing monthly and quarterly to align with short-term (1 year) and medium-term (3 years) business goals.
- Implement inventory management activities to enhance customer satisfaction with minimal short-term costs.
- Control and update inventory policies and MRP data, including quota arrangements, coverage profiles, planned delivery times, etc. in SAP following changes (such as new products or formula adjustments) to ensure accurate calculation of production needs for finished products and materials.
- Execute the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process within assigned responsibilities to formulate and approve business production plans, optimizing production efficiency, leveraging local business advantages (if applicable), managing operational costs, and maintaining customer service standards in short and mid-term business plans.
- Work with Sales, Marketing, and Demand Planning departments to compile necessary documents for S&OP meetings, report to Head and relevant stakeholders.
- Report instances of production-demand imbalances, conduct root cause analyses, propose solutions, and estimate costs for additional resources to maximize sales targets.
- Implement S&OP procedures to ensure timely and effective meeting schedules.
- Preserve data integrity within systems to support strategic action plan recommendations.
- Deliver master schedules, detailed plans (including capacity considerations), and material requirement plans using system tools.
- Support and implement improvements within the planning area to enhance customer fill rates, meet inventory targets, and reduce waste in alignment with company KPIs.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in supply planning within a large-scale manufacturing organization, preferably in Food and Beverage manufacturing or the FMCG manufacturing industry.
- At least 5+ years in a leadership role, managing a team of 8-10 staffs.
- Strong experience in supply planning and logistics processes.
- Experience in driving change.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, SOP procedures.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- Strategic thinking and planning, data analytics, and interpreting insights for actions
