The company has achieved significant success and has recently invested in production line technology and infrastructure. Due to continued growth and overall expansion, there are some strategic recruitment needs for the following positions to upgrade the organization and enhance people capability.

Summary

Our Partner seeks an accomplished Head of Engineering with experience in the Food & Beverage Manufacturing industry. The job holder is responsible for developing engineering and maintenance plans to achieve strategic business goals. This includes overseeing maintenance management, maximizing machinery efficiency, driving engineering excellence and improvement projects across the business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop engineering and maintenance plan to ensure maximizing machinery efficiency and meet business objectives.
  • Overall responsibility for Manufacturing Engineering management and maintenance activities across the business to effectively deliver a world-class Engineering service and ensure the efficient production of Safe and Legal Food products. 
  • Develop plans that will drive Continuous Improvements Programs within the Engineering function across business and plant levels.
  • Conduct business case analysis to validate process and system improvement programs
  • Design and manage engineering improvement programs from initial phase of planning to implementation and transition.
  • Create and implement best practice manufacturing engineering mission, processes and procedures (engineering standards) to meet business performance and manufacturing operational needs in terms of production, quality and delivery targets.
  • Lead the identification, scoping, and delivery of capital projects across manufacturing to improve safety, quality, capacity, optimize the cost of operations and develop new capabilities.
  • Provide input at early stages in the new product development process, coordinating with and supporting the new product development team to implement new and revised designs and developing effective processes to ensure technical manufacturability while maintaining quality, safety and environmental standards and achieving cost targets.

People Management

  • Provide leadership to department, coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions.
  • Set department objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance.
  • Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and to implement change and improvements.
  • Responsible for developing the appropriate organizational structure, resource plans and culture to support the business objectives and customer deliverables.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant engineering majors.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience within manufacturing environments, preferably in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with filling machines or bottling machines and PET blowing manufacturing processes.
  • Strong in implementing maintenance programs and experienced in technology for food and beverage production.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading an engineering function with a proven track record in strategic engineering leadership, delivering effective engineering strategies, policies, processes, and systems.
  • Experience in project management and at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to optimize team performance and development.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of budget management, cost control, and project management.
  • Demonstrated application of technical understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams.
