Our strategic partner is a popular brand in the Food and Beverage Manufacturing industry. The company has achieved significant success and has recently invested in production line technology and infrastructure. Due to continued growth and overall expansion, there are some strategic recruitment needs for the following positions to upgrade the organization and enhance people capability.

Summary

Our Partner seeks an accomplished Head of Costing with experience in the Food & Beverage Manufacturing industry. The job holder is responsible for accurate cost estimation and manufacturing cost management, with the objective to align with budget strategic planning and profitability improvement.

Job Responsibilities

• Develops accurate, timely, and reliable product cost estimations, accounting for specifications, raw materials, and manufacturing operational costs.
• Works closely with other related functions and stakeholders to advise on the most relevant solutions to drive profitable growth and optimize asset utilization.
• Ensures proper collection and maintenance of relevant data required for accurate cost estimation.
• Analyzes complex manufacturing processes in coordination with plant managers to improve decision-making.
• Learns and simulates cost structures of competing suppliers to advise stakeholders on winning prices, best-fitting specs, or other options.
• Performs comparative analyses of pre- and post-costing to understand drivers for gaps and collaborates with relevant stakeholders to close them.
• Provides technical costing expertise to enable design for manufacturing, facilitating conversations to optimize manufacturing operation cost across functional teams.
• Contributes to the enhancement of systems and processes to ensure costing requirements are met and to improve costing performance.
• Collaborates with relevant stakeholders to drive innovation, ensuring transparency of cost and maximizing product value.
• Works with the financial team to develop and implement a financial risk management system and contributes to coordinating plans to reduce risks associated with serious losses.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, or another relevant field.
• At least 8 years of working experience related to costing, cost estimation, finance, controllership in manufacturing operations. Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industry or FMCG manufacturing field is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in cost estimation and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical mindset and skills; experience building sophisticated models and advanced Excel skills are required.
• Strong leadership presence and ability to set up a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with all levels within a complex organization.
