Summary
Our Partner is seeking a Group Chief Accountant responsible for leading financial reporting, tax compliance, treasury management, and centralized accounting operations across the Group. This position is responsible for ensuring transparent, compliant, and efficient financial governance between manufacturing entities, commercial business units, and the holding structure while supporting the company’s long-term growth and operational efficiency objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Centralized Accounting Operations, Automation & Leadership:
- Lead centralized accounting operations for multiple entities to ensure standardized accounting practices and policy compliance.
- Develop and implement unified accounting governance frameworks, including group-wide accounting structures and operational procedures to maintain data consistency.
- Establish performance metrics for accounting operations to improve efficiency and ensure timely monthly financial closing processes.
- Act as the key finance lead for enterprise systems implementation and automation initiatives to streamline accounting processes and repetitive financial tasks.
Group Consolidation & Financial Reporting
- Manage monthly and quarterly consolidation of financial statements across multiple subsidiaries while ensuring accurate elimination of intercompany transactions and investments.
- Lead the transition and alignment of financial reporting standards from local accounting regulations to international reporting frameworks to support future business expansion objectives.
- Coordinate the preparation of audited financial reports and maintain corporate governance standards in compliance with public company requirements.
Manufacturing & Trading Operations
- Implement standardized costing methodologies across manufacturing operations to support accurate profitability analysis and inventory valuation.
- Supervise revenue recognition processes and credit risk management activities for high-volume trading operations serving both international and domestic clients.
- Lead finance and accounting integration within enterprise resource planning systems to ensure real-time visibility into sales, purchasing, production, and supply chain costs.
- Conduct regular balance sheet reviews to ensure accounting compliance, risk control, and adherence to financial standards.
- Ensure effective control mechanisms are established for inventory and fixed assets management.
Tax Planning & Compliance:
- Manage the group’s tax planning activities through legal optimization strategies and applicable tax incentives.
- Ensure intercompany transactions are properly documented and compliant with local transfer pricing regulations.
- Lead and manage tax audit processes across all entities while minimizing tax exposure and supporting timely tax refund procedures.
Treasury & Cash Management:
- Oversee centralized treasury operations to optimize group liquidity management between trading and manufacturing entities.
- Manage relationships with banking partners to secure working capital facilities and project financing arrangements.
- Develop foreign exchange risk management strategies to mitigate exposure arising from import and export activities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- Master’s degree or advanced financial qualifications are preferred.
- Professional certification as Chief Accountant is required.
- Additional certifications such as ACCA or CPA are preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in finance and accounting functions.
- At least 5 years of experience at group level within large-scale corporations.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing and trading environment is essential.
- Strong understanding of local and international accounting standards.
- High competency in internal controls and stakeholder management.
- Knowledge of automation technologies and digital finance transformation initiatives.
- Deep understanding of financial markets, corporate finance, valuation methodologies, and regulatory disclosure requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior financial stakeholders.
