Plant Operations Director

Our strategic partner is a manufacturing enterprise operating in the stone materials industry, supplying products to both domestic and international markets. Currently, the company is in a phase of operational standardization, production stabilization, and enhancement of organizational discipline and product quality to support its sustainable development in Vietnam.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Take full responsibility for directing all factory operations including production, operations control, quality management, schedule adherence, and operational reporting.
  • Ensure production is executed according to confirmed orders, specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines based on existing processes.
  • Organize production activities in accordance with approved orders and finalized product specifications.
  • Plan and control production schedules on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Coordinate and resolve operational issues arising during the production process.
  • Supervise compliance with established procedures, SOPs, and existing quality standards.
  • Control defects, scrap rates, and rework activities.
  • Ensure no production process is modified without formal approval.
  • Understand and control the operational status of machinery and production lines.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Propose technical and operational improvements when necessary.
  • Manage Deputy Factory Director, department heads, and production supervisors.
  • Maintain production discipline, shift arrangements, and occupational safety standards.
  • Train, coach, and develop the factory operations management team.
  • Prepare and submit daily and weekly reports covering production output, quality performance, progress status, and operational incidents.
  • Participate in operational meetings and propose practical, execution-oriented solutions.
  • Act as the primary accountable person for overall factory operations.

Job Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical or Automation Engineering, Materials Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Production, or related disciplines.
  • Candidates from other academic backgrounds may be considered if they possess at least 8-10 years of equivalent factory operations experience.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in managing manufacturing plant operations.
  • Preference for experience in industries such as engineered stone, tiles, interior wood products, building materials, plastics, or make-to-order manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience working with KPIs, operational reporting systems, and shift-based production.
  • Strong practical operations mindset with a focus on execution rather than theory.
  • High level of discipline, accountability, and consistent on-site presence at the factory.
  • Ability to make timely decisions and perform effectively under production pressure.
  • Clear and effective communication with factory management teams and senior leadership.
