Indirect/Project Sourcing Manager

Our strategic partner is a popular brand in the food and beverage manufacturing industry. The company has achieved significant success and has recently invested in production line technology and infrastructure. Due to continued growth and overall expansion, there are some strategic recruitment needs for the following positions to upgrade the organization and enhance people capability.

Summary

Our Partner seeks an accomplished Indirect/Project Sourcing Manager with experience in the Food & Beverage industry. This position is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to optimize costs and ensure a reliable supply chain. This includes leading sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, conducting market analysis and collaborating with stakeholders to align procurement activities with business objective.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop annual sourcing plan and identify strategic sourcing waves based on market changes, contract expiration, and duration since last strategic sourcing activity, in alignment with Company business priorities.
  • Define strategic sourcing best practices, provide thought leadership to expand the sourcing benefits and opportunities.
  • Oversee and drive collation and analysis of market intelligence data, including full supplier base information and capabilities, using relevant sources (e.g. industry reports, expert interviews, informal network, internal knowledge, etc).
  • Develop, communicate and implement category standards.
  • Evaluate supply strategies based on changing market conditions and provide inputs into strategic sourcing activities
  • Support sourcing projects related to the assigned categories by giving guidance, providing methodologies and sharing any other relevant expertise
  • Drive development of sourcing strategy in conjunction with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance of the sourcing strategies and with Procurement Policy, Guidelines and SOPs as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee development of RFI documentation and evaluation criteria.
  • Oversee and provide guidance to the execution of sourcing strategy.
  • Work with relevant team to track and document savings after every sourcing initiative. Monitor progress for sourcing plan through rigorous work plan reviews.
  • Define the supplier base and secure capacity, plan implementation (timeline, resources, cost, …) and align stakeholders.
  • Develop, communicate and implement supplier standards.
  • Work with Purchasing, and SRM to track/assess market developments and benchmark suppliers.
  • Accountable for the creation, cleansing and updating of supplier master data on an ongoing basis.
  • Participate in building strategic partnerships to strengthen the Company’s reputation
  • Connect key suppliers with the strategic interests to successfully identify and drive untapped business opportunities.
  • Promote Company’s reputation through building, connecting strategic partnership
  • Ensure transparency of raw material areas.
  • Accompanying seminars, events, and discussions through which to promote the image, reputation, and position of Partners and the Company, together bringing valuable contributions to the development of the industry economy.
  • Bilateral cooperation programs aim to contribute to the strategic development goals of both sides.
  • Foster business development and innovation by jointly identifying and implementing opportunities that create long-term value for both organizations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement & SCM.
  • At least 7 years’ experience in similar role.
  • Understanding about ERP as SAP, Oracle and Power BI, MS Excel and MS Office.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • A third or more language is preferred.
  • Experience in managing a large purchasing team.
  • Excellent analytic skills and ability to think strategically about category.
  • Significant project management, communication, negotiation and people management skills.
  • Technical understanding of category and cost drivers, strong supplier industry knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across business units and functions.
