Our strategic partner is a leading multinational company specializing in manufacturing electronics and connectors used in data transmission systems. Currently, our strategic partner is expanding its business operations in Vietnam and is seeking to fill key positions.
Location: Long An, Vietnam
Job Responsibilities
Project & Customer Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for communication with customers and internal departments (ARFA/RFNA).
- Receive customer requirements, conduct feasibility analysis, perform cost calculations, and propose quotations in line with profit targets.
- Update project status, sample orders and timeline milestones for all relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality departments to resolve technical, quality and after-sales issues.
New Product Introduction (NPI):
- Participate in the planning and coordination of new product introductions, from the initial concept phase to SOP (mass production).
- Coordinate and organize project kick-off meetings, create detailed development plans and assign tasks to relevant departments.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, propose corrective actions and solutions.
- Ensure all project documentation is properly created, controlled, archived.
Technical & Operational Support:
- Support the creation and updating of BOM for new products.
- Coordinate with the Purchasing & QA departments to evaluate new components and suppliers.
- Work with PE/PIE to plan production capacity based on customer forecasts.
- Monitor the fabrication progress of molds, jigs, fixtures and equipment in collaboration with the Manufacturing Engineer.
- Receive and track Engineering Change Notices (ECN).
Cost Analysis & Production Optimization:
- Participate in product cost analysis and evaluate the ROI for new mold and equipment investments.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify solutions for improving productivity and reducing costs.
- Oversee the sample delivery process and resolve quality and logistics issues during the transition to mass production.
Reporting & Other Duties:
- Report on project progress, risks, and outcomes to the Project Manager / Plant Manager.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with management and customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in project management or as an NPI Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the electronics, connector or wire harness/cable assembly industry is preferred.
- Proven track record of leading projects from concept to successful launch.
- Ability to read and understand 2D/3D CAD drawings.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, BOM, cost analysis, quality control.
- Proficient in using project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, teamwork skills.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to adhere to deadlines.
- Fluent in both Vietnamese and English.
