Job Responsibilities
Health, Safety, and Environmental Oversight:
- Adhere to all company guidelines for Quality, Environment, Occupational Health, and Safety (QEOHS). Performance will be evaluated based on established criteria.
- Consistently ensure the maintenance team follows all terminal safety and environmental rules during their work.
- Verify that all work is performed in line with established FPE and CSM procedures.
- Periodically assess and update work instructions to reflect current practices, reduce potential hazards and accommodate changes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, meeting all housekeeping standards.
Maintenance and Project Execution:
- Oversee daily maintenance tasks to confirm they are completed accurately and according to standard operating procedures.
- Manage maintenance-related capital projects to ensure they are finished on budget and achieve their intended goals.
Budget and Cost Management:
- Track all maintenance-related spending, making sure costs are allocated to the correct cost centers and stay within the approved budget.
- Check and confirm the accuracy of information on all completed work orders.
- Keep track of KPIs for the maintenance department to ensure targets are being met.
- Analyze maintenance reports, identifying and addressing any deviations from expected results.
Equipment Performance and Reliability:
- Systematically review maintenance work to maximize equipment uptime and meet operational availability goals.
- Evaluate performance metrics to confirm they align with targets and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Plan and implement upgrades for older machinery to improve reliability and bring it up to modern standards.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Create and manage a training program for the maintenance team to build their skills.
- Assess the performance of all team members, providing feedback and guidance.
- Establish a clear succession plan within the department to prepare for future leadership roles.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a heavy industrial setting, such as cement manufacturing.
- At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Experience working effectively in a multicultural team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform well in a high-pressure setting.
- A strong commitment to and understanding of safety and environmental protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build respectful and positive working relationships.
- A focus on meeting the needs of internal customers and stakeholders.
