IT Manager

Our strategic partner belongs to an international retailer headquartered in Europe, specializing in interior and exterior furniture. They are currently expanding their business operations in Vietnam and are seeking to fill key positions for this new market.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Lead and manage the local IT team, including workload prioritization, performance management, and capability development.
  • Ensure stable, reliable, and efficient operation of IT infrastructure and business applications to meet business and management expectations.
  • Act as the primary IT contact for local stakeholders, translating business needs into effective IT solutions.
  • Lead and implement local IT projects, including system deployments, major upgrades, and technology changes.
  • Participate in planning and executing regional and global IT initiatives, ensuring alignment with global standards and operational expectations.
  • Coordinate with global service delivery teams to plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and system changes.
  • Manage local IT infrastructure covering both on-premise and cloud-based environments.
  • Ensure IT infrastructure, applications, software, policies, processes, and standards comply with global IT governance.
  • Ensure reliable data backup operations; define archiving processes and data retention policies.
  • Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure system recoverability in cases of cyber incidents, security threats, or equipment failures.
  • Oversee IT security controls and risk mitigation practices.
  • Lead IT cost planning, annual budgeting, expenditure tracking, and reporting.
  • Manage IT vendors, contracts, procurement activities, and multi-vendor service delivery.
  • Conduct regular audits of user access rights to critical systems and represent the IT function in company audits.
  • Manage local IT assets, documentation, and operational processes in line with compliance requirements.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance end-user experience, engagement, satisfaction, and feedback metrics in line with global targets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational objectives.

Job Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • Solid experience as an IT professional with strong background in managing diverse IT infrastructure services across multiple vendors.
  • Proven experience in IT cost planning and budget management.
  • Ability to work effectively in an international and cross-cultural environment with a proactive, can-do mindset.
  • Valid CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification.
  • Strong leadership, people management, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in project management and change management; PMP certification is preferred.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical thinking with proactive problem analysis and problem-solving capability.
  • Good working knowledge of hybrid IT environments (on-premise and cloud-based), IT security, and enterprise business applications such as ERP, CAD, and CRM.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience that provide the required knowledge and competencies may be considered.
