Indirect Sourcing Specialist

Our strategic partner is a popular brand in the food and beverage manufacturing industry. The company has achieved significant success and has recently invested in production line technology and infrastructure. Due to continued growth and overall expansion, there are some strategic recruitment needs for the following positions to upgrade the organization and enhance people capability.

Location: Binh Duong, Vietnam

Job Responsibilities

  • Source raw materials, MRO (machinery & spare parts), and Services (Real Estate, Projects, Business Services, Marketing Services) to support the company’s production and business activities. This involves planning, executing, and monitoring sourcing activities in a timely, effective, and compliant manner according to company processes and policies.
  • Execute the search and evaluation of supplier capabilities according to work instructions, ensuring a minimum of 5 qualified suppliers are available on the Qualified Supplier List (on SharePoint/SAP Ariba) for the Purchasing department to conduct bidding.
  • Develop a quarterly plan for new sourcing and supplier development for each item/service. Execute this plan to ensure a minimum of 1 new supplier per item/service group is evaluated and added to the Qualified Supplier List (on SharePoint/SAP Ariba) each quarter.
  • Operate the sourcing process (strategic sourcing, quick sourcing, direct award, etc.) for all purchase requests to ensure the delivery of a confirmed list of participating suppliers and the sourcing proposal (for strategic purchases) as required.
  • Develop strategic Sourcing Proposals for all goods and services outlined in the Annual Sourcing Plan, with input from relevant stakeholders (Sourcing Board). This ensures the sourcing plan has sufficient supply sources, achieves optimal operational efficiency and cost, and complies with company processes and policies.
  • Propose strategic sourcing plans (Sourcing Proposal/RFI/ROI) that include, but are not limited to, contract negotiation terms, risk assessment and mitigation, penalty clauses, etc. Conduct market analysis that presents the market context (market share, trends, etc.) for strategic purchase requests.
  • Manage supplier data throughout the entire lifecycle, including Supplier Requests, Supplier Registration, Supplier Qualification, and Supplier Certification. This includes updating supplier information accurately, completely, and in a timely manner to support purchasing, contract signing, acceptance, and payment activities according to company regulations.
  • Send invitations/instructions and collect information from suppliers as required for specific items/services/categories, ensuring supplier information is updated on the Ariba system. This includes suppliers who have not yet worked with the company as well as those with current transactions/contracts.
  • Perform supplier evaluations as required by item/service/category to ensure all suppliers in the Ariba system are properly qualified.
  • Update supplier certifications as required by item/service/category to ensure all supplier certification information is complete and current.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with all established Work Instructions.
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional internal customer service.
  • Achieve all development goals established by the manager in the IDP.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • General knowledge of procurement processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of the market and suppliers.
  • Specialized knowledge of the assigned product/service categories.
  • Proficient in SAP, BI, MS Excel, and MS Office.
  • Intermediate to good English proficiency. Knowledge of Chinese is an advantage.
  • A minimum of 3 years of procurement experience in a similar position at a large company, preferably in the Food & Beverage industry.
