Footwear Costing Manager

Our strategic partner is a global company known for designing, marketing, and distributing innovative footwear, apparel, and accessories.

Location: Hai Phong, Vietnam

Job Responsibilities

Strategy and Development:

  • Support the rollout of effective costing methods, policies, and workflows designed to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Confirm that costing procedures are running smoothly and take the lead on related improvement projects.

General and Task Management:

  • Use cost analysis methods to regularly find and address operational weaknesses and identify ways to reduce costs.
  • Analyze financial data and reports to find, evaluate, and solve problems, proposing clear solutions.
  • Handle negotiations with vendors and suppliers to achieve the best possible financial outcomes.
  • Supply key data and insights on strategy and operations to senior management for decision-making.

People Management:

  • Lead, guide, and develop the costing team, ensuring their work aligns with company objectives.
  • Guide the Brand Costing team to meet established seasonal margin targets (MFP).
  • Establish clear objectives (OKRs) for the team and regularly evaluate the performance of team members.
  • Build and sustain positive working relationships with other internal departments and external factory partners.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in footwear costing or manufacturing, including at least 3 years in a role managing or supervising staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively.
  • Excellent command of both verbal and written English.
  • Proven skill in negotiating prices and terms.
  • A focus on achieving outcomes, with strong planning skills to meet deadlines.
  • Solid technical understanding of how products are built and the manufacturing processes involved.
  • Proficient with IT systems, with an advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel.
  • A person of high integrity who is adaptable to new processes and changes.
  • Clear communication abilities (visual, auditory, and verbal) are necessary for interacting with staff and partners.
  • Manual dexterity for typical office tasks.
