Factory Director – Garment

Our strategic partner is a leading multinational company in the textile and apparel manufacturing industry.

Job Responsibilities 

• Oversee the full production cycle in garment manufacturing to ensure on-time delivery and consistent product quality.
• Supervise all factory activities including cutting, sewing, finishing, and quality assurance stages.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency, minimize material waste, and implement cost optimization initiatives.
• Ensure operations comply with occupational safety, labor, and environmental standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop a large workforce including managers, supervisors, and production staff.
• Work closely with design, merchandising, and supply chain teams to achieve production goals.
• Track performance indicators (KPIs) and initiate continuous improvement actions.
• Control budgets, allocate resources effectively, and manage production schedules.
• Identify operational issues and implement corrective solutions in a timely manner.
• Maintain effective partnerships with suppliers, clients, and key stakeholders.

Job Requirements 

• At least 10 years of experience in production management within the garment manufacturing industry, with strong knowledge of tailoring products such as suits, shirts, and formalwear.
• Demonstrated experience managing factory operations, including large-scale production environments.
• Good knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other productivity improvement methodologies.
• Strong leadership capability with effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient English skills for reporting and communication in an international working environment.
• Experience using ERP systems and production planning tools.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
• Degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline is an advantage.
• Experience working with international brands or export-focused factories is preferred.
• Understanding of sustainable manufacturing practices is considered beneficial.
