Finishing Section Supervisor

Our strategic partner is a leading multinational company in the textile and apparel manufacturing industry.

Location: Ben Tre, Vietnam

Job Responsibilities

• Manage all activities of the Finishing section after garments are completed from the sewing lines.
• Supervise the final checking stages, including visual inspection, quality control and quantity verification before packing.
• Organize, assign tasks and control the packing process, including cartonizing and labeling, ensuring compliance with customer standards (packing standard/packing instruction).
• Verify and ensure the correct quantity, product type, style code, size ratio, and packing materials (poly-bags, stickers, cartons, etc.).
• Arrange goods according to the designated packing area layout, ensuring a logical workflow to prevent product mix-ups.
• Coordinate the arrangement, storage, and preparation of goods for shipment
• Control pallets and storage locations.
• Ensure goods match the correct PO/lot before handing them over to the Logistics department.
• Monitor the status of goods awaiting shipment to prevent backlogs.
• Collaborate closely with the QA/QC team to handle defective products and items requiring re-checking or re-working.
• Monitor finishing productivity and propose process improvements to reduce lead time and enhance packing efficiency.
• Manage the Finishing team, including training, performance evaluation, and shift scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with 5S, workplace safety, and factory operational procedures.
• Submit daily/weekly reports to the Finishing Manager or Production Manager.

Job Requirements

• Associate’s degree/College diploma or equivalent; a major in Garment Technology or a related technical field is preferred.
• 7-10 years of experience in the garment industry, with at least 3 years in a leader/supervisor role in Finishing, Packaging or Inspection.
• Experience working in a Japanese-owned factory or familiarity with Japanese work culture and standards is a strong advantage.
• In-depth understanding of the entire finishing process, including final inspection, folding, packing, cartonizing, QA hold/release procedures.
• Experience in managing and coordinating the final goods outbound flow.
• Strong skills in team management, problem-solving, product defect control.
• Foreign language proficiency is not required.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet production targets and order deadlines.
