Business Development Supervisor

Location: Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai, Vietnam

Summary

Our Partner seeks an accomplished Business Development Supervisor with experience in the logistics industry. This role is responsible for managing and growing relationships with new clients, as well as identifying new business opportunities to achieve and exceed company sales targets.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Business Development:
  • Make monthly BD plan for new target customers. Setup concrete plan for BD and target customer.
  • Make regular visits and sales calls to targeting customers to hear customer opinion and create close relationship with them in purpose of expanding business scales.
  • Attend networking activities to approach new customers for IFF/Project/ WH…services.
  • Propose good logistics solutions that contribute to the customer’s cost reduction.
  • Gather market information.
  1. Costing and Quotation:
  • Identify portion that need offer quotation: receive information/ inquiry of quotation from assigned customers via email, phone…
  • Make costing with BUs and/or procurement. Prepare quotation for customer to obtain the business.
  • Negotiate with the accounts as per price guidelines given, looking to maximize profits.
  • Anticipate tender schedule of the customer and share with concerned party. Report the result and study reason of win/failure.
  1. Customer and Contract Management:
  • Make Sales Handling Instructions (SHI) for secured business. Share SHI to related divisions.
  • Engage when there is any issue relating to quotation for assigned accounts
  • New contract: Prepare draft contract as approved template and get approval.
  • Existing contract: Review contract. Renew or revise contract if required.
  1. Reporting and Other Tasks:
  • Manage and control P/L for assigned customer
  • Review result end of month/ Monitor KPI as set by manager
  • Report monthly about BD calls, times to visit customers, update CRM, …
  • Update market information and competitor’s trend
  • Supervise and support other members in division
  • Understand new project and lead cross function teams to make it succeed.
  • Support managers to develop division capabilities, and identify talents within organization
  • Other tasks as Manager assignment.

Job Requirements

  • Graduated from university in Transportation, Economics or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales roles within the logistics industry.
  • Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, economics, trade, and market dynamics.
  • Strong customer relation management and sales skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and supervisory skills.
  • Customer-focused with strong teamwork, communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong negotiation, presentation and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics-related software
  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve sales targets.
  • Excellent English skills (written and verbal).
