Chief Accountant

Our strategic partner is an international company based in Europe, known for its trusted brand and reputable standing in the advertising industry with a history of significant achievements. Currently, our strategic partner is expanding its business operations in Vietnam and is seeking to fill key positions for its activities in this new market.

Location: Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Vietnam

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure Compliance and Oversight: Oversee and ensure compliance of all accounting procedures with relevant laws, regulations, and International Accounting Standards.
  • Financial Management: Manage the full spectrum of accounts, including month-end and year-end closing processes for both the Vietnam and head offices.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of the Vietnam office and headquarters, prepare consolidations, and provide detailed variance analysis.
  • Cash Flow Management: Develop cash position reports and forecast cash flow projections for both the Vietnam and head offices to support liquidity management.
  • Tax Compliance: Review and oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports in Vietnam, covering VAT, PIT, CIT, and FCT.
  • Expense Management and Financial Reporting: Process internal payment requests, manage expense reimbursements, advance requisitions, and travel claims. Develop and update reports on cost of sales, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other financial reports for the head office.
  • Collaboration and External Relations: Collaborate effectively with auditors, tax authorities, and commercial banks to ensure compliance and smooth financial operations.
  • Budget Planning and Financial Decision Support: Contribute to budget planning processes and support financial decision-making for the fiscal year.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • CPA or ACCA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Strong understanding of Vietnamese accounting standards, tax regulations, and International Accounting Standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with 3T, Oracle, or QuickBooks preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
