Our strategic partner is a popular brand in the food and beverage manufacturing industry. The company has achieved significant success and has recently invested in production line technology and infrastructure. Due to continued growth and overall expansion, there are some strategic recruitment needs for the following positions to upgrade the organization and enhance people capability.

Summary

Our Partner seeks an accomplished Category Director with experience in the Food & Beverage industry. This position is responsible for leading the development and execution of category marketing strategies, including analyzing market trends, driving innovation and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve profitable growth and brand performance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies that align with overall business objectives, market trends and consumer insights.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis, competitive benchmarking and opportunity identification to inform category growth plans.
  • Define and track key performance indicators to measure category and brand performance, identifying areas for optimization and growth.
  • Develop and manage category budgets, optimizing resource allocation for maximum ROI.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of Brand Managers, driving team performance to meet business objectives.
  • Oversee the development and execution of brand plans, including brand positioning and new product development.
  • Drive product lifecycle management, ensuring brand relevance and profitability throughout their lifecycle.
  • Explore new product concepts to expand market share and drive category growth.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of category and brand initiatives, including developing and executing effective market strategies, brand campaigns and communication strategies that resonate with target consumers.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, consumer behavior and competitive landscape.
  • Identify opportunities for category innovation and market expansion.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Other tasks as assigned by direct management to support the team to achieve company goals.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Over 10 years in the role of Brand and Marketing management. Minimum of 5 years in leadership role.
  • Preferred experience in the Food and Beverage industry
  • Proven experience in project management and ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and communicate recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Experience in identifying target audiences and devising effective campaigns.
  • Excellent understanding of marketing 4P and innovation for new marketing strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills paired with a creative mindset.
  • Data-driven thinking with a strong affinity for numbers.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of latest trends and marketing best practices.
