Key Account Manager

Our strategic partner is a leading global company in conveyor and power transmission systems engineering with presence in over 70 countries, providing excellent solutions and services to more than 35,000 clients worldwide for a wide range of industries.

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

SUMMARY

Our Partner seeks an accomplished Key Account Manager with experience in an industrial environment. This position is responsible for ensuring sales growth, increasing company profits and market share by increasing share of wallet at current customers, recruiting and developing new customers within the assigned segment/territory. The KAM will increase profitability by promoting products, providing technical support and conducting training to new and repeat customers within this region.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Sales Management:
  • Manage and update sales opportunity to exceed quarterly and annual plan.
  • Develop and generate business growth within a targeted industry segment in alignment to overall strategic growth plans.
  • Seeks and prospects for large strategic customer.
  • Management of indirect sales channels relationships and ensure alignment to growth strategy
  • Determine sales potential from new and existing customers through inquiry, observation, and periodical market research.
  • Prepare and conduct sales presentations of products to new and existing customers.
  • Learn and apply new product knowledge to enhance sales and personal professionalism.
  • Assist customers with enquires and problems e.g. update/supply information, drive complaints resolutions, etc.
  • Technical consultancy and communication with customers in cooperation with Application Engineers.
  • Visit job sites as needed to measure or provide customer consultation and services
  • Gather competitive information and other market information regularly
  • Interacting collaboratively with other local and global team members.
  • Acquire in depth knowledge of the assigned segment including market trends, competition activities and provide strategic insights to the management on a regular basis.
  • Providing VoC (Voice of Customers) for product review and evaluation of product competitiveness and input for product development
  • Makes regular sales forecasts, gap analysis and develop and implement improvement plans
  • Utilize CRM system on account planning, customer enquiries, customer visits etc.
  • Update CRM at regular intervals, ensuring the information is up to date to bring awareness of business issues/situation
  1. Customer Service:
  • Provide an exceptional level of customer service.
  • Determine customer requirements, expectations, and uncovering customer pain-points to provide the best value proposition and product.
  • Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction
  • Increase accounts WIN rates through active prospecting and qualifying new accounts through the use of consultative selling skills
  • Maintain and improve customer relationships and satisfaction
  • Negotiate and establish pricing and terms according to company’s requirements for customer and transaction profitability
  • Communicate to the customer care department on quotation preparation and track unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products
  1. Training:
  • Present information and training on features, benefits, and technical aspects of the company’s product to customers
  • Remain current on product and industry knowledge by attending sales meetings, online trainings, trade shows, or reading trade journals
  1. Maintain Professionalism:
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Uphold the company core values and be ethical in practices
  • Practice honesty and integrity in customer and vendor relations
  • Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration.
  • At least 2 years of relevant field sales experience in industrial environment.
  • Has good business acumen and is customer service focused. Creative problem-solver with drive and tenacity to see through the completion of tasks.
  • The candidate must be experienced in B2B business in any light industrial segments (preferred Food, Paper, Packaging), belting experience is an advantage.
  • A record of sales achievement in B2B environment and dealt with mechanical components manufacturing preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute on account strategy plans, structure complex deals, manage multiple strategic partnerships and develop business to support growth
  • Strong Customer Orientation.
  • Ability to conduct meetings, but also coaching and training sessions.
  • Ability to manage transversal projects across complex matrix organisation.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship building, influencing and networking skills.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability and willingness to travel in the country and occasionally in the SEA region.
  • Fluency in English (Both verbal and written).
